These are just some of the questions that you would have to answer in order for you to choose the best service.

Here are some tips that will help you choose the right provider:

1. Check the cost. When choosing an online fax service provider, it’s not enough that you know how much you will pay every month for the online fax service that you will subscribe into. There may be hidden charges that you are not aware of or are often undisclosed or un-advertised to lure customers into thinking that the service that they offer is the cheapest. Other than the monthly service fee, you may also want to check if they will charge you for any installation fee (if there is any), how much they will charge you for any excess fax pages that you will send in a month, and other hidden costs that may be incurred on the process.

2. Check the possibility of getting a local number. If your business operates locally, then it would be in your best interest if you will have a local number so your clients would not hesitate to send you fax messages because they would have to pay for long distance charges. Whenever possible, ask your provider if they will be able to provide you with a local number or a toll-free fax number. A toll-free fax number is actually better because that would mean that anyone from the rest of the United States can send you an online fax messages without incurring any long distance charges.

3. Check the features that come with your package or plan. Different providers offer different features with specific plants. Obviously, online fax offers unique features which make it a lot interesting than its traditional counterpart. Check if you really need the features included within the package because if not, ask the provider to they can remove it from the package so you can lessen your bill.

4. Check for support. For any service that you will subscribe into, it is important that you check if their services come with a two pair of ears that you can yell into when something goes wrong with your faxing services. There will always be instances when you will not be able to send and receive online fax messages and it can happen in the wee hours of the morning. Your online fax service provider should be able to provide you with good technical support to help you with your particular issue.
